Dr. Travis Gee
Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre is pleased to welcome Dr. Travis Gee to our list of attending professionals. Dr. Gee has spent many years teaching, researching and practicing psychology. He has been a Clinical member of the Australian Counselling Association for over a decade, as well as an Executive Board Member. Dr. Gee is able to help under Medicare, private health, or ATAPS plans with a wide range of psychological issues, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, Asperger’s disorder (among many others) in both children and adults.
He is particularly interested in post-separation parenting issues, and wrote a submission to include Parental Alienation Syndrome (as it was known then) in the Diagnostic Manual. Domestic violence, depression and suicide issues amongst divorced dads are also a major area of interest, and independent or second opinion reports are also available (but are not funded under Medicare).

He is also a forum moderator at http://www.familylawexpress.com.au and is an international consultant Director of Research for the US-based shared parenting organisation The Fathers’ Rights Movement, which also advocates for mothers caught in such situations.
