Due to safety concerns surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) the Department of Justice and Attorney-General has suspended its JPs in the Community program until further notice.
If you require the services of a Justice of the Peace (JP) or Commissioner for Declarations (Cdec) during this time please visit https://www.qld.gov.au/law/legal-mediation-and-justice-of-the-peace/about-justice-of-the-peace/after-hours. This page will allow you to enter your town/suburb or postcode to access a list of JPs and Cdecs who may be available to assist you in their private residence or a public space.
Please remember that JPs and Cdecs are volunteers providing a valuable service to their community. As such they are not required to provide their services if they deem it a risk to their health and safety.
